The 6th Annual End Addiction HSV Walk at Big Spring Park! This free annual event presents an opportunity for anyone impacted by addiction to connect with others who have walked a similar path. Families and friends form teams each year to remember a loved one lost. Others walk to celebrate recovery and inspire hope, while others attend to support a co-worker, friend or loved one.

Representatives from treatment, recovery and support organizations set up exhibit tables around the park and share information about services available. This year’s guest speaker is former Johnson High School and Auburn University football standout David Battle, who fought addiction that started with a football injury that ended his dreams of playing in the NFL. His story is all too common but provides the hope of recovery to those impacted by the disease.
