If you haven’t already visited Huntsville’s lifestyle boutique hotel, the 106 Jefferson, what are you waiting on? Consider this your personal invitation to enjoy this beautifully designed destination spot in the city. Since it first opened it doors back in August of last year, it’s regular spot for me to unwind, enjoy a meal, and grab a cocktail. (We even hosted our team holiday party there!)
The theme is retro space, a nod to the awesome space industry roots of Huntsville. From the lobby light fixtures, to the carpets and curated furniture pieces throughout, everything you see has a space connection. One of its stand-out features though, is the gorgeous patio bar located on the top level. It offers a beautiful and chic lounge vibe that is a lot more up-scale than the traditional bars you find around town.
As for the hotel part, we’ve had the pleasure of staying there a few times. The rate for a king corner room was $269; the decor was nice, bed was cozy, bathroom size and amenities, all were standard. I noticed that instead of an iron and ironing board, there were steamers made available to guests in room- nice touch. There were a few space design details in the room as well, but for the most part, the room was standard.
As for dining options on-site, the 106 Jefferson offers up the lobby restaurant The Revivalist, which offers Huntsvillians a great alternative to Ruth’s Chris fine dining. During our stay we intended to enjoy at meal at the Revivalist Restaurant, but instead opted to for an evening drinks with friends upstairs at their rooftop bar, Baker and Able. The rooftop bar and lounge was also equally impressive with both indoor and outdoor seating. You’ll want to snap a ton of IG photos there for sure. A drink will run you about $10-15, and the bar staff are incredibly friendly.
My overall impression of the 106 Jefferson is that, it’s a great spot for grabbing a drink, catching up with a friend, going on a date, or kicking off a fun night on the town. Huntsville has been given a major ‘glow-up’ with it’s opening of the 106 Jefferson and I’m crossing my fingers for more places like this to be added to the Huntsville glam roster soon.
