The Huntsville Museum of Art is hosting an event called “Artsy Tots: Hermit Crab Shell Collage” on Friday, August 11th. The event is designed for toddlers aged 2 to 3 years old and aims to introduce them to art and the museum environment through various engaging activities.
The Artsy Tots program includes artful short stories, gallery play activities, and a hands-on art activity focused on creating a hermit crab shell collage. The event encourages color recognition, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and other developmental benefits for the young participants.
There are two sessions available for the event: one from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and another from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Each session has a limited capacity of 8 children, and registration is mandatory. Parents or guardians are required to be present during the session to supervise and participate in the creative experience with their children.
The event is free to attend, offering a wonderful opportunity for young children to explore their artistic abilities in a fun and interactive setting! Attendees are advised to dress appropriately for a potentially messy art experience.
