a novel set in Huntsville, Alabama
In need of a great novel to read that’s based in Huntsville, Alabama? We recommend “Confessions of a Marrano Rocketeer,” by Daniel Schenker.
This debut novel tells the story of Arthur Waldmann, one of the former Nazi rocket scientists who moved to Huntsville, Alabama in the 1950s. Instrumental in the development of projects from the V-2 through the Saturn V, he has kept secret both his Jewish identity and his involvement in a project near the end of World War II that would radically upend our understanding of the history of space exploration. Only with the death of the genius who was both Waldmann’s beloved mentor and envied rival can he now reveal the truth, with dramatic consequences for both himself and his adopted hometown.
“Confessions of a Marrano Rocketeer,” can be purchased on Amazon.
