New taco spot in Huntsville? You bet there is! Condado Tacos, an award-winning taco chain known for its unique blend of clean, craveable tacos, vibrant margaritas, and a wide selection of tequilas, opened its doors in Huntsville on December 7th. Located at 401 Williams Ave. SW, this new eatery marks the second Condado location in Alabama, joining its sister restaurant in Cahaba Village, Mountain Brook.
The Huntsville branch boasts a spacious 3,850 square feet area, accommodating 155 guests with 104 seats in the dining room, 15 at the bar, and a cozy 36-seat outdoor patio.
Chris Artinian, President and CEO of Condado Tacos, expressed enthusiasm about the new location. “We are thrilled to bring our innovative tacos and margaritas to Huntsville and continue our expansion throughout Alabama. At Condado Tacos, we pride ourselves on providing a full-service dining experience that caters to everyone’s pace, whether it’s a sit-down meal or a quick grab-and-go. With our ‘Come as You Are’ culture, we aim to offer our guests an unparalleled experience at an affordable price.”
The menu at Condado Tacos focuses on clean, fresh, and preservative-free food. Signature taco options like Lucy’s Fire and Blue Dream, featuring secret shells, are a highlight. The menu also includes innovative ingredients such as Tajin, cilantro-lime aioli, jicama, and the exclusive Kewl Ranch taco shell. With a wide variety of choices, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, the build-your-own taco concept allows guests to personalize their meals with a selection of proteins, toppings, and sauces. The margaritas, a key feature of Condado’s menu, are muddled with seven different fresh fruit purees and complemented by an extensive selection of 100% blue agave tequilas.
In addition to its diverse menu, Condado Tacos is celebrated for its collaboration with local artists to create unique, street-art-inspired murals in each restaurant. The Huntsville location features artwork that celebrates the city’s space exploration heritage and its historical identity as Twickenham. Notable local artists like Logan Tanner, Jessie Andrews (Honeyblood), and Adrien Andrews have contributed to this vibrant, fantasy-themed decor.
