The Huntsville Botanical Garden is hosting a Butterfly Release event on July 29, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. This enchanting activity allows guests of all ages to participate in the safe release of live butterflies into the Purdy Butterfly House. The event will begin with a short presentation about butterflies and their natural habitat. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to take part in the restoration of the indoor butterfly population.
There will be numerous photo opportunities during the event, so cameras are encouraged! The Butterfly Releases occur throughout the summer, with each program lasting approximately 30 minutes. Due to limited space, registration is required to secure a spot for this event, so interested individuals are advised to reserve their spot as soon as possible.
Ticket prices for Garden Members are $8 for both children and adults. Non-Members, on the other hand, will have the added benefit of Garden admission for the entire day. For children aged 2 and under, the ticket price is $8. Children aged 3 to 15 can attend the event for $20, while adult tickets are priced at $25. This event promises to be a captivating and educational experience for visitors, providing an opportunity to witness the beauty of butterflies up close in a controlled environment.
