Opening in winter 2022, Southall Farm & Inn is the evolution of Southern hospitality, a place where those seeking to ignite their curiosity can embrace a sense of discovery. Amid 325 acres of lush, rolling hills in historic Franklin, Tennessee, this working farm and inn evokes a simpler time when life revolved around the land, its bounty, and the ever-changing seasons.

Offering dining and spa experiences that draw inspiration and even ingredients from the surroundings, along with a variety of outdoor adventures and breathtaking event spaces, Southall immerses guests in a unique and memorable journey.

Just outside of Nashville, this luxury escape features 62 spacious guestrooms and suites, as well as 16 individual Hillside and Arbor Cottages. Expansive yet intimate, refined yet extravagant, these secluded one- and two-bedroom cottages provide stunning views and spacious outdoor living areas—strengthening the bond guests have with nature.

Sowing the Seeds of Curiosity

Southall’s lake, orchard, greenhouses, gardens, and old-growth forest offer a wealth of physical, mental, and spiritual experiences that inspire a deep reverence for the land—while serving as sustenance for the body, mind, and soul. From tours of the farm to culinary activities such as cooking demonstrations and seasonal tastings, there is much to savor.

Ultimately, this is a setting grounded in wellness, a place where balance is restored—a philosophy that extends to Southall’s nature-focused activities. Sunset meditations, forest bathing, yoga, and other mindful pursuits create a sense of quiet, reflective calm, while outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and a challenging aerial obstacle course offer plenty of adrenaline. The sprawling property includes Lake Mishkin, a serene setting for fishing, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding, along with an outdoor heated pool.

Firmly rooted in the fertile soil, Southall’s conscious culinary approach captures the feeling of wonder that comes from eating food that was grown and harvested just steps away. Embracing nature and all her gifts, the resort’s fresh, seasonal fare highlights the path from seed to plate. Soul-stirring multi-course journeys are on the menu at Southall’s signature restaurant, while Sojourner offers a more casual setting with floor-to-ceiling windows that boast spectacular views of the rolling hills. Each features enticing, diverse dishes and handcrafted cocktails, creating immersive and transcendent dining experiences designed to honor the land.

The Spa at Southall also draws on the healing powers of botanicals and other wholesome ingredients from the farm. Offering a blend of ancient techniques and modern therapies that replenish and restore, it also features a soothing mineral pool and herbal medicinal garden. The spa instills a deep sense of wellbeing, just like the land—and just like Southall itself.

At Southall, you’ll find yourself in harmony with the land, forge stronger connections with those who matter most, and possibly even reconnect with yourself. Here, something special is always growing. Learn more about Southall by visiting their website: https://southalltn.com/.
